Registration

We are pleased that you have decided to register for the 80th Annual Meeting of The Meteoritical Society in Santa Fe, New Mexico, U.S.A. (July 23rd to July 28th, 2017).

Onsite registration is available on Sunday, July 23rd from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the La Fonda Hotel and from Monday, July 24th through Friday, July 28th, at the Santa Fe Convention Center.


Registration Fees (in $US):

*In good standing (i.e, membership fee for 2017 paid in full). Please note that the member fee can only be granted if you are a member of the Meteoritical Society at the time of registration. If you are not a member, you can become one  before the submission of your abstract. The organizers strongly recommend to “ Become a Member ” instead of registering as a Non-member. Annual Membership with M&PS online access is $80 and a Student Membership with M&PS online access is $40. Remember the Early Registration deadline: June 23, 2017!
Registration for Professionals & Students includes:
    
  • Admission to all scientific and technical sessions, and all meeting materials.
  • Admission to the Sunday welcome reception at the La Fonda.
  • Admission to the Wednesday evening congress banquet at the La Fonda.
  • Admission to the Tuesday and Thursday poster exhibitions at the Convention Center.
  • Admission to the Friday farewell party in the Convention Center Courtyard.
  • The registration fee does not include the abstract fee. Please pay the abstract fee when submitting your abstract.
  • It does not include any workshops, field-trips, excursion, activities.
 
Registration for Guests includes ONLY!:

  • Admission to the Sunday welcome reception at the La Fonda.
  • Admission to the Wednesday evening congress banquet at the La Fonda.
  • Admission to the Friday farewell party in the Convention Center Courtyard.
  • NO meeting materials, NO attendance of scientific and poster sessions.

When registering for the 80th Annual Meeting of the Meteoritical Society in Santa Fe, NM, USA, please arrange payment of the registration fee. All payments must be made in US dollars.

We strongly recommend credit card payments. Those registering using any other method of payment (check, money order, traveler’s check, or wire transfer) must contact the Meeting Registrar for detailed instructions.
 
Cancellation Policy:

In case of cancellation, please notify the Meeting Registrar . The registration cancellation deadline is Monday, July 10, 2017
 
For cancellations by July 10, 2017, the registration fee will be refunded minus an administrative charge of 10%. No refund can be made for cancellations of meeting registration fees and field trips received after Monday, July 10, 2017, or for cancellations of workshops at any time.
 
Letter of Invitation:

International participants may need a letter of invitation from the meeting organizers in order to obtain a Visa for entry into the U.S.A. The organizers will not be able to contact or intervene with any U.S.A embassy or consulate office abroad on your behalf. This procedure is intended to assist participants who need to obtain a Visa or permission to attend the 80th Annual Meeting of The Meteoritical Society in Santa Fe, and is not an official invitation covering fees and/or any other expenses or financial support from the meeting organizers or The Meteoritical Society.

In order to apply for an invitation letter please send your request, stating your name, address, date of birth and passport number, to: metsoc2017santafe@unm.edu .

Please contact the relevant embassy or consulate where you would like to apply for a Visa, as to whether a standard pdf file of invitation would suffice or whether an original hardcopy letter is required.


Please start the Visa application process as early as possible and at least eight weeks prior to your departure. The organizers are not to be held responsible for the outcome of your Visa application.
